What are 'cookies' and how do they work?
A cookie is a tiny element of data that a web site can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your hard drive so you can be recognised when you return. Cookies are used on our web site to monitor the traffic to our site and are used to count the number of visits to each page and to track the path each visitor takes to navigate the web site but no personal information about the visitor is collected during this process.
If our website requires you to register or log in to gain access to a secure area, cookies are used to assist in the registration process. They are used to store the username while the user logs into the site and to track the number of times the user has tried to log in during a visit.
Most browsers can be configured to refuse to accept cookies and you can also delete cookies from your hard drive. However, doing so may hinder your access to valuable areas of information within our site.
